What do engineers do? How will I survive engineering school? What can I expect on the job? These and various other topics unfold as Pease Associates once again sponsors Explorers Post No. 620 in the Engineering Exploring program.
Pease professionals will offer real-world perspectives and career advice to high school students interested in the engineering profession during this 8-month program hosted at the firm's Charlotte office. The program will incorporate multimedia presentations, hands-on workshops and a field trip as it seeks to excite and educate young adults about the career possibilities in civil and building engineering. Architecture is also touched on during the program.
This is Pease Associates' fourth year sponsoring Exploring, which is part of the Boy Scouts of America Learning for Life career education program. The firm recently received the Spurgeon Award for outstanding leadership in Exploring, the highest national recognition for an organization contributing significant leadership in Exploring.
