When Stuart’s elementary schoolteacher said that his drawing ability would take him far, she didn’t realize it would be 3,000 miles from England to Charlotte to become an architect. His passion for drawing remains the sharpest tool in his skill set.
For Stuart, seeing imagination come to life is truly gratifying, but he admits the greatest reward is a satisfied client.
“The challenge is to bring something into the world that makes it better than it was before and stay within the client’s budget,” says Stuart.
As for experience, Stuart's portfolio includes classrooms, courtrooms, libraries, data centers, offices and aircraft hangars.
Stuart holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies from the University of Sunderland, England and Master of Architecture from Virginia Tech.
