Gary Runions, AIA | Associate Vice President
Gary has always had a passion for architecture. So much in fact, he chose this as his career path in sixth grade.
“I have always loved drawing, designing and building things," admits Gary. "Architecture is a vehicle that combines imagination with reality and breaths life into an idea, making it a tangible object to be seen, touched and experienced."
Diverse experience is something Gary takes with him wherever he goes. His career journey has involved projects ranging from multifamily and commercial to education and justice. He has been engaged in every role of architecture, from design and detailing to construction administration. With all of this at hand, Gary has the knack for bringing creative solutions to the ‘drawing board.’
His passion for photography, history and the great outdoors has led him traveling throughout the U.S. No matter where he goes, Gary takes all of his life experiences and combines them into his first passion—people, buildings and architecture.
Gary holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Virginia Tech.
